SHOP.CA adds Technology and Retail Expertise to its Board with the additions of new members Bill Di Nardo, John Muffolini and Tony Chvala

TORONTO, September 2, 2015/CNW/ - SHOP.CA is pleased to announce that Bill Di Nardo, John Muffolini and Tony Chvala have joined its Board of Directors.  All three board members bring extensive experience in the technology and retail space along with significant accomplishments guiding private, entrepreneurial ventures.

Bill is a serial entrepreneur and venture investor with extensive experience building high performance teams and driving rapid revenue growth companies.  Bill has a track record of combining his interest in technology with his passion for operations and services.  As the founder and former President and CEO of Grocery Gateway Inc. in the late 1990s, Bill assembled a world-class team to pioneer e-commerce in Canada and combined it with traditional last-mile logistics.  Bill was awarded E&Y’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2000. Bill is a founding partner at Eventi Capital Partners, a firm that invests in and advises high growth companies in software-as-a-service and web infrastructure services.  Bill is also on the Board of Directors of Ceryx and is Chairman of the Board and CEO of Tenzing Managed IT Services.  Bill is a graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business and is based in Toronto, Ontario.

John is the Technology Leader at MNP, a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada.  John has over 22 years of experience providing assurance and advice to national and international clients.  In addition to having extensive international experience assisting clients through acquisitions, due diligence, IPOs and secondary offerings, John spent three years working with tech companies in Silicon Valley, California.  John is also on the board of BrightIron, a strategic financial and operational advisory firm for growth technology companies. John is a CPA, CA and is based in Toronto, Ontario.

Tony is an accomplished retail executive with global experience across all retail categories for Fortune 500 corporations. Tony brings deep knowledge of e-commerce, merchandising strategy, private label and product innovations having worked at Sears (USA) as the VP E-commerce Marketplace and Site Advertising, Groupon as Global General Manager and Chief Merchandising Officer, and at as GM Private Label & Global Sourcing. Tony is EVP Global E-Commerce with The SWI Group, the largest pure-play watch e-commerce venture in the US with online sites operating through global marketplaces. Tony is the co-founder, Owner and Board Chairman of Wellala Inc., the developer of PrintMagic, a wireless printing software application for IOS and Android devices. Tony is a graduate of the business school at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and he is based in Chicago, Illinois.
